Terms and Conditions

1. Photo Triage

Our free photo triage is intended solely to determine whether your concern may be suitable for assessment and/or treatment within our service.

Information provided via photographs, email, WhatsApp or messaging services is intended as preliminary guidance only.

Photo triage does not constitute a diagnosis, medical advice or a substitute for an in-person consultation.

A formal diagnosis and treatment recommendation can only be made following an in-person clinical assessment.

Treatment recommendations, diagnoses and pricing may occasionally change following examination.

2. Consultation Fees

Consultation fees are payable for the professional assessment and advice provided, regardless of whether treatment proceeds.

Where a procedure fee includes a consultation, the consultation element (£125) remains payable following clinical assessment even if treatment is subsequently deemed unsuitable, postponed, or the patient chooses not to proceed.

3. Suitability for Treatment

We reserve the right to decline or postpone treatment where it is considered clinically inappropriate, unsafe or unlikely to achieve a satisfactory outcome.

4. Histology

Histological examination may be recommended before or during your appointment, depending on the nature of the lesion being assessed. The need for histology, together with any associated costs, will be discussed and agreed with you before a specimen is submitted for analysis.

5. Histology Results

Histology results are often available within 1-2 weeks; however, more specialised investigations or additional testing may require longer. Turnaround times cannot be guaranteed.

Results will be communicated to you in writing once received and reviewed by the clinician. Where consent has been provided, a copy of the result may be shared with your GP for inclusion within your NHS medical record.

In some cases, the reporting histologist may recommend additional testing to assist with diagnosis. Where additional testing incurs a charge, this will not be undertaken without discussion and agreement regarding the clinical need for the testing and any associated costs.

Patients may decline additional testing; however, this may in some circumstances limit the information available within the final pathology report.

Whilst histological examination is often able to provide a definitive diagnosis, some specimens may produce non-specific or inconclusive findings, even following appropriate investigation.

6. Cancellation & Non-Attendance

We do not currently require deposits for appointments and do not charge cancellation or rescheduling fees.

We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or appointment changes.

Repeated late cancellations, appointment changes or non-attendance may result in future bookings requiring payment in advance or being declined.

7. Late Arrivals

Patients arriving late may need to be rescheduled if there is insufficient time to complete the appointment safely.

8. Respectful Behaviour

We ask all patients to treat our staff and other patients with courtesy and respect. Aggressive, abusive, threatening, inappropriate or discriminatory behaviour may result in treatment being declined and future appointments not being offered.

9. Photography, Filming & Recording

To maintain patient privacy, confidentiality and a professional clinical environment, photography, filming and audio recording of consultations or procedures by patients or accompanying persons is not permitted without prior agreement from the clinician. We reserve the right to decline any request to photograph, film or record within the clinic.

10. Post-Procedure Results & Healing

Individual healing times and cosmetic outcomes vary between patients. While every effort is made to achieve the best possible result, no guarantee can be given regarding healing times, reactions, scarring, recurrence, cosmetic appearance or the absence of complications.

Expected healing times, possible outcomes and how results may vary between individuals will be discussed with you during your consultation and prior to treatment.

Where applicable, procedure-specific information will be provided before your appointment and discussed with you during your consultation. Patients are encouraged to read all information provided and raise any questions prior to treatment.

11. Aftercare Responsibility & Post-Procedure Complications

Patients are responsible for following the aftercare advice provided. Failure to do so may result in complications or affect healing and treatment outcomes.

Aftercare instructions will be discussed with you before you leave the clinic and written aftercare guidance will be provided.

As with any medical procedure, complications may occasionally occur, including but not limited to infection, adverse reactions, delayed healing, bleeding, scarring or reactions to sutures. These risks will be discussed where relevant, and patients will be provided with appropriate aftercare information and instructions on when to seek advice.

12. Driving Post-Procedure

Most patients feel well enough to leave the clinic immediately following treatment; however, individual reactions vary and some patients may experience temporary light-headedness, dizziness or discomfort. Patients should ensure they feel fit to drive before operating a vehicle.

Certain insurers may impose restrictions following medical procedures. We therefore recommend consulting your insurer before driving following treatment, or arranging alternative transport.

13. Children

For safety reasons, we recommend that patients do not bring young children to appointments where a procedure is being performed unless another responsible adult is present to supervise them.

Patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

14. Privacy & Data Protection

Personal information is stored and processed securely in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

15. Complaints

We aim to provide a high standard of care and service. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your treatment or experience, please contact us in the first instance so that we can investigate and attempt to resolve the matter promptly.
